Cornwall Park

The 2000 census states that approximately 2,300 reside in the Cornwall Park Neighborhood. The neighborhood obtains much of its character and charm from its recreational areas, open space and the large, older homes. However, it is these well-maintained homes with large lawns give the neighborhood a pleasant, quiet, residential atmosphere. A great example of this is the Roeder Home, which has considerable historic and architectural value that adds much to the neighborhood character. Convenient access to the freeway, and to downtown and outlying commercial areas, a regional park, Cornwall Park retains a stable, residential character. Parkview Elementary School is a neighborhood asset, as is the Bay to Baker Trail and Greenway that will eventually extend through the northern part of the neighborhood.

Seventy-acre Cornwall Park in the center of the neighborhood provides a multitude of recreation opportunities for the area and other adjacent neighborhoods.

Cornwall Park Neighborhood is home to St. Joseph Hospital, which is an important regional medical facility and one of the area's largest employers.
